At Ci CORP FZE, we use a veritable mountain of data (collected from several portals we own, and for the clients for whom we do digital marketing automations) to expose and explain the multi-platform state of internet user behavior, and every time these data surprised us at the pace and growth of mobile use.
For last few years we have been reading and hearing informal statements from several Google employees that mobile search queries would probably overtake desktop queries sometime this year, and now Google confirms that, it’s happening now.
The company says that “more Google searches take place on mobile devices than on computers in 10 countries, including the US and Japan.”
The company declined to elaborate further on what the other countries were, how recently this change happened or what the relative volumes of PC and mobile search queries are now.
Another report from ComScore also makes clear that mobile is now the growth driver, while the desktop is rapidly becoming a “secondary touch point” for a large percentage of the digital audience.
In spite of research backed data and reports, just 9% brands own dedicated mobile apps, and only 23 percent of the websites worldwide are mobile friendly. At Ci Corp we have always been going extra mile when it comes to technology. Looks like our team took Sir Steve Jobs quote very personally, when he said “Everyone says they go the extra mile. Almost no one actually does. Most people who do go there thinking, "Wait... no one else is here... why am I doing this?" And they leave, never to return. That's why the extra mile is such a lonely place. That's also why the extra mile is a place filled with opportunities.” And today we are proud that we have gone that extra mile and launched the regions first ever jQuery Mobile and Mobile Ajax platform website, and we feel lonely as there is no one else with such website and since the launch we have been getting several calls.
Do visit this website from your mobile, and see the true experience of a mobile app without downloading and installing one. We will wait for your feedback, more updates will be rolled out as its still in Beta testing.
